Wait! Is that a Monument...?

If that board looks familiar, it's because it's the 2009-2010  MNMNT BlackBlack Series and the Memento Mori on the backside. Thule used our snowboards for their marketing material this year and we were stoked to be involved.  Featured above is the Thule 575 Universal Snowboard Carrier.

This fully locking snowboard carrier can transport 2 boards safely, securely and uses minimum roof space so there is room for other carriers.

Features

    * Angled design raises bindings to prevent damage to boards or vehicle
    * Locking arms grip and hold boards securely without scratching the surfaces
    * Adjusts to fit all board sizes and widths
    * Carries up to 2 snowboards
    * Includes 2 One-Key™ lock cylinders which lock the snowboards to the carrier
    * Fits Thule rack systems, other round bar racks and most factory racks

Think Positive in VA

We took over the Burgundy Room at Bailey's on 11.2.09 to premiere Role Model's "Think Positive".  I took this picture really quick while we were testing up the setup.  I didn't bring my camera and I knew I would forget later on to take any kind of pictures. Boy, was I right.

MNMNT showcased the 09-10 lineup in full; Role Model's flick would be premiering in VA... Fun night? You betcha.

We had well over 100 people for the premiere on a school night.  We were stoked on the super fun crowd as they watched all the riders in the flick..  JB from SouthfotheNorth came to help out and participate in the festivities because I told him we'd have five white chocolate fountains.  Eat your heart out YOBEAT!  You guys totally missed out on the white chocolate covered fried twinkie sticks.  Burton has nothing on this party!

A day before the event, I get a facebook message from Francis Dirren, asking if he can bring his camera to document the event.  Sure! And here are some of his pics...

Me, with MNMNT SE Rep Armani hamming it up.  Leonard in the back was decked out in IRAKNY gear (DERELS hat and shirt) which totally took me by surprise.

The view from one of the three tvs premiering the movie.

I was pretending to be Parappa the Rappa.  The mic needed batteries so I spoke in stacatto because it would static every five seconds.  The gentleman to my right was my bodyguard. He had to make sure the girl behind him didn't tear my shirt off.

A Snowtime Rep came to talk about his resorts doing his best Shawn Farmer impersonation.  JB from SouthoftheNorth is next to me, hiding off the frame.  My bodyguard is slacking as this girl asks for my autograph.  She is trying to rip my shirt off as I laugh nervously.

Francis wanted us to stand with the 2009-2010 MNMNT line.  From the left,  MNMNT SE Rep Armani, Kevin Trinh and Rob Morgan from Climate Board Shop.  I'm hiding behind the board because I hate being in front of the camera.  The SSUR II deck really does come with an arm!

All in all it was a super fun time. No one puked. Nothing got broken. People lost their jackets and I lost a pair of goggles somehow.  We had a few drinks. We saw a bad ass film by Role Model. We saw MNMNT  Youth Crew Ethan Deiss slaughter it.  Super fun night? Success.

These girls paid a whopping $400 to have a chance to pose with the BlackBlack series and the FVK series. Rob was in the picture so we had them pay another $100.  They wanted his autograph but they couldn't afford it.

Check out Role Model "think positive" and MNMNT at a local store near you! Ask for it!

See you guys at our next event soon!

KRINK X MINI

Krink designed the MNMNT BlackBlack Series last season. He did a collab with Smith goggles this season.  Here he is with the Mini. Amazing stuff.
